Maintenance
Wool is a nice material to make clothes from because it is antibacterial and odor-resistant. Wool clothing therefore does not need to be washed often. Hang the garment outside occasionally so that it can freshen up. If you do want to wash the garment, we recommend Texelana Wool Detergent . Never rub hard when hand washing, to prevent felting. Always check the label in the garment for the washing instructions. Always let wool clothing dry flat.
If you treat your wool garment in this way, it will not only stay nicer and last longer. By airing instead of washing, you also save the environment.
About Planet Wool
Planet Wool was created from a Dutch initiative in 2015, after the earthquakes in Nepal. For every product sold, one Euro is donated to a charity in Nepal, this charity is Stichting Nepal. Through them, we donate to various charities. Since 2015, Planet Wool has donated a total of approximately 100,000 euros to charities.
The headbands and hats are handmade in Nepal, under good working conditions. The wool comes from small farmers in Australia, Ireland and England.
