Description

Woolpower Mittens 400.

The layering principle also applies to your hands. The more layers, the better the insulation. When your body gets cold, blood flow to the hands and feet decreases and it prioritizes providing heat to the heart, brain and other vital organs. That's why you feel the cold first in your hands and feet, even if the rest of your body feels warm.
Knitted mittens are warm and flexible, but not completely windproof.

This item is not from our own stock, but is shipped directly to you by our supplier Hike-A-Way.

  • size L : glove size 9-11

Woolpower Ullfrotté Original 400 grams fabric

The Woolpower 400 is a fabric that is used when the weather is colder and you don't have to move as much. Ullfrotté is a substance that Woolpower has developed itself. It is a mix of merino wool and polyamide. Due to the special way of knitting, where one side of the fabric is flat and consists of loops on the other side, this material retains a lot of air and therefore heat fixed. The fabric absorbs moisture and sweat from the body and transports it to the outside of the fabric. This keeps your body warm. This also works the the other way; when it is hot outside, the body is kept cool by the dust. Wool does not absorb odors, so the clothes do not retain the sweat smell fixed.

These Woolpower Mittens are made of 70% merino wool and 30% polyamide.

Maintenance

The mittens are machine washable at 60 degrees and are tumble dryer safe.

About Woolpower

Woolpower is a Swedish brand of thermal clothing and thermal underwear. The Swedish family business was founded in 1972 and has always specialised in manufacturing high-quality warm underwear. Wool has always been the main ingredient. The wool comes from merino sheep that graze in the Argentine part of Patagonia and Uruguay. All Woolpower products are made in Östersund, Jämtland.

The idea behind Woolpower is that it is not the thermal clothing that keeps you warm, but your own body. The thermal clothing has a unique structure that creates a layer of air between the body and the clothing. This optimally retains body heat.

Woolpower uses only mulesing-free wool and produces everything locally. The factories run on 100% renewable energy and waste material is reused for seat pads and insoles. Woolpower is certified according to OEKO-TEX and ISO standards, which guarantees high environmental standards. Want to know more about this supplier? Take a look at the Woolpower page.
