Woolpower Ullfrotté Original 400 gram fabric
Woolpower 400 is a fabric used when the weather is colder and you don't need to move much. Ullfrotté is a fabric developed by Woolpower itself. It's a blend of merino wool and polyamide. Thanks to the special knitting method, where one side of the fabric is flat and the other loops, this material retains a lot of air and therefore heat. The fabric absorbs moisture and sweat from the body and transports it to the outer layer. This keeps your body warm. This also works the other way around; when it's warm outside, the fabric keeps the body cool. Wool doesn't absorb odors, so clothing doesn't retain the smell of sweat. Woolpower Ullfrotté 400 is made of 70% merino wool, 28% polyamide, and 2% elastane.
Woolpower Protection
Woolpower has created the Protection product line, designed to meet the high demands of professional users. These products, which meet specific EN standards such as flame resistance, antistatic properties, and electric arc protection, are grouped under the name Woolpower Protection. As part of Woolpower's environmental responsibility, they don't add chemicals like bromide to increase flame resistance. Instead, they derive this from the unique properties of the fiber composition. All products in the Protection line are tested and certified by FIOH in Finland. Protection LITE has also been tested in the US to meet the minimum requirements of ASTM 1506-10A for garment meters in NFPA 70E. This base layer is the perfect first layer to wear on cold days when you're active. It keeps you warm and dry.
About Woolpower
Woolpower is a Swedish brand of thermal clothing and underwear. Founded in 1972, this Swedish family business has specialized in manufacturing high-quality, warm underwear. Wool has always been the main ingredient. The wool comes from merino sheep that graze in the Argentinian part of Patagonia and Uruguay. All Woolpower products are made in Östersund, Jämtland.
The idea behind Woolpower is that it's not the thermal underwear that keeps you warm, but your own body. The thermal underwear has a unique structure that creates a layer of air between your body and the clothing. This optimally retains body heat.
Woolpower uses exclusively mulesing-free wool and produces everything locally. The factories run on 100% renewable energy, and waste materials are reused for seat covers and insoles. Woolpower is certified according to OEKO-TEX and ISO standards, guaranteeing high environmental standards. Want to know more about this supplier? Visit the Woolpower page.
