Sheepskin regulates temperature and is breathable. All models in our Premium line feature a strong, flexible rubber sole. Thanks to the special tanning process of the sheepskin and the durable sole, these models are ideal for outdoor wear.
Maintenance tip
To preserve your sheepskin products, we recommend spraying them with a protective spray (not mousse) before first use and regularly thereafter. This protects the product from water and dirt. We recommend Collonil Active Universal protector . Please note: sheepskin products cannot be washed!
What is the Premium Tuscan shoe made of?
These boots are made of genuine, high-quality sheepskin. The sole is made of sturdy EVA and flexes smoothly. Sheepskin is ideal because it's moisture-regulating, breathable, and heat-retaining. You can even wear the boots without socks, allowing the lanolin (wool fat) in the wool to do its work, resulting in wonderfully soft feet.
Size advice
Choosing the right size requires careful consideration. Unlike cowhide, sheepskin is much softer and more supple. This also makes the material more fragile.
When purchasing these sheepskin slippers, it's important to choose the right size. Temperature and moisture regulation can only occur when there's sufficient air between the skin and the fleece. The right size also helps prevent premature wear. A size that's too small can lead to pressure points, which can cause the supple but delicate leather to wear out more quickly.
In our experience, you can use your regular shoe size for these shoes. If you wear a half size, round it up and then follow the sizing advice. For example: if you wear a size 38.5, round up to size 39.
