What is the Premium Boot High made of?
These boots are made of genuine, high-quality sheepskin. The sole is made of sturdy EVA and flexes smoothly. Sheepskin is ideal because it regulates moisture, breathes, and retains heat well. You can even wear the boots without socks, allowing the lanolin (wool fat) in the wool to do its work, resulting in wonderfully soft feet. Thanks to the special tanning process of the fleece and the strong sole, these boots are perfectly suited for outdoor wear.
Size advice
Choosing the right size requires careful consideration. Unlike cowhide, sheepskin is much softer and more supple. This also makes the material more fragile.
When purchasing these sheepskin slippers, it's important to choose the right size. Temperature and moisture regulation can only occur when there's sufficient air between the skin and the fleece. The right size also helps prevent premature wear. A slipper or boot that's too small can cause pressure points, causing the supple but delicate leather to wear out more quickly.
Due to the thick wool lining, these boots run a bit small. We therefore recommend ordering this style two sizes larger than your usual shoe size. The sheepskin and the tapered toe make these boots run smaller. If you have a half shoe size, round it down and then follow the sizing guide. For example: if you wear shoe size 38.5, round this down to size 38. Follow the sizing guide +2 to order the boots in size 40.
