Sleeping on wool provides a soft, resilient, and comfortable lying sensation. The crimped wool fibers trap air, creating an insulating layer. At the same time, wool is breathable and moisture-regulating, which helps to create a pleasant sleeping environment.

A wool underblanket is ideal if you want to add extra comfort and natural temperature regulation to your bed. It's beneficial if you tend to feel cold quickly, but also if you perspire during sleep. This is because wool can retain warmth as well as absorb and release moisture.

Yes, wool naturally has an insulating effect and helps to retain body heat. This makes a wool underblanket feel cozy during cold nights. Because wool also breathes and regulates moisture, it not only provides warmth but, above all, a comfortable sleeping environment.

Yes. A wool underblanket is not just for winter. Wool is temperature- and moisture-regulating and can absorb and release excess heat and moisture. This means sleeping on wool can also be pleasant during warmer nights.

A wool underblanket is primarily intended to add a soft, natural comfort layer and help regulate the sleep climate. A topper is generally thicker and can more significantly alter the support and feel of the mattress. Therefore, an underblanket does not replace a topper or a mattress.

Place the wool underblanket directly on the mattress with the wool side facing up. You can then place a flannel sheet over it, followed by the fitted sheet. This way, you sleep on the comfortable wool layer while the underblanket remains protected.

No. A wool underblanket is not suitable for the washing machine. Small stains can be carefully removed with a cloth and lukewarm soapy water. For a more thorough cleaning, you can have the underblanket professionally cleaned if necessary.

It is especially important to air the underblanket regularly. In the morning, turn down the bed linen so that absorbed moisture can be released back into the environment. You can also air the underblanket outside occasionally to freshen up the wool.
