Why do we often recommend a larger size?

Sheepskin slippers are lined with a thick layer of natural wool. This means they fit differently from regular shoes.

It is important not to buy sheepskin products too small. There are several reasons for this:

Optimal insulation. The naturally crimped wool fibres trap an insulating layer of air. This helps keep your feet comfortably warm when it is cold, while the wool helps regulate temperature in warmer conditions.
Longer lifespan. Sheepskin leather is soft and flexible. If a slipper is too tight, extra tension and pressure points can develop in the leather, which may cause it to wear more quickly.
Moisture-regulating comfort. Wool can absorb and release moisture. It needs sufficient space to maintain these natural properties.
Greater comfort. Your toes have enough room to move, making the slippers more comfortable to wear.

Extra tips

✔ Measure both feet. If one foot is larger than the other, use the measurement of the larger foot.

✔ Ideally, measure your feet at the end of the day. Your feet may be slightly larger by then, reducing the chance of choosing a size that is too small.

✔ When measuring, wear the socks you would normally wear with your slippers, if applicable.

Made of merino sheepskin: soft on the inside and supple on the outside.
Easy and spacious entry.
Equipped with a wear-resistant sole and extra reinforced cowhide leather edge.
It is not advisable to walk outside with slippers that have a leather sole.

The Muy sheepskin slipper is made from merino sheepskin with a sturdy cowhide sole. No synthetic materials, just natural quality. Sheep’s wool breathes, regulates moisture and can absorb up to 30 per cent of its own weight in moisture. This means you can wear these slippers comfortably on bare feet, keeping you warm without feeling clammy, and thanks to the natural lanolin in the wool, your feet stay soft and well cared for. The supple sheepskin makes the slipper extra comfortable.

Maintenance & use

Maintenance tip

To preserve your sheepskin slippers, we recommend spraying them with a protective spray (no mousse) before the first use - and then regularly. This protects the product against water and dirt. We recommend the Collonil Active Universal protector for this. Please note: sheepskin products cannot be washed!
