Description

Rug made of long-haired Icelandic sheepskin

A sheepskin is perfect as a large, natural rug. It's wonderfully warm under your feet when you get out of bed and creates a wonderfully cozy atmosphere next to the sofa or by the fireplace. And you're not the only one to enjoy it; pets also love finding a soft, cozy spot on a real sheepskin rug!

Specifications & material

  • Sheepskins are a natural product. No two fleeces look the same.
  • The fur rug consists of several sheepskins sewn together.
  • Painted.

NB: Do not expose dyed fur to strong light or direct sunlight. Color fading or discoloration may occur, as may color transfer if the fur is placed in a wet or white area.

Maintenance

Maintenance and cleaning of sheepskins

  • Not completely washable.
  • Stains? You can wipe them clean with a damp cloth. Try not to get the leather wet. Let any wet leather dry and then grease it with leather polish.
  • Do not dry on a heater or in the sun.
  • Airing: Shaking the coat and letting it air out will revitalize it. Preferably in a misty spot! So, in high humidity, but definitely not in the rain.
  • Brushing: If the coat starts to look less attractive due to use, you can gently comb it out with a coarse dog brush or wool comb. This will restore the coat's soft appearance and also remove dirt from the hair.
  • Vacuuming: Over time, some dirt and dust will accumulate in the wool of your sheepskin. You can remove this from the sheepskin with a vacuum cleaner.
  • A sheepskin cannot be washed in the washing machine.
