Marlina: stylish and warm wool cardigan
This warm, woolen outdoor cardigan features a special knit stitch in a V-pattern. The warm pink hue, combined with subtle dark accents, gives the cardigan a unique look. Thanks to the soft fleece lining, the cardigan feels snug. This thick, warm cardigan is lovely to wear as an interim jacket in spring and autumn!
- Outer layer: 100% New Zealand sheep wool
- Lining: soft, black fleece (polyester)
- High collar and detachable hood
- Strong YKK zipper
- Two front pockets
- Inner pocket with zipper
Good to know: due to the knit pattern, this cardigan is heavier and warmer than most Shakaloha cardigans.

Care instructions
Wool is a great material for clothing because it is antibacterial and odor-resistant. Woolen clothes therefore do not need to be washed often. Hang the garment outside occasionally to freshen it up. If you do want to wash the garment, we recommend Texelana Wool Detergent. When hand washing, never rub hard to prevent felting. Always check the label in the garment for washing instructions. Always dry woolen clothing flat.
If you treat your woolen garment this way, it will not only look better and last longer. By airing instead of washing, you also protect the environment.
Storing woolen clothes
We recommend storing your woolen clothes clean, possibly with a sachet of lavender; this keeps moths away. It is also best to store woolen clothes flat, so that the elasticity of the wool is not affected.
Pilling and lint
Wool can pill or lint with use. This has nothing to do with the quality of the wool. Pilling is a natural phenomenon that mainly occurs due to friction. Wool consists of many hairs with a natural crimp (curls). Friction can cause the wool to pill and felt. When felting, the hairs join together due to friction. In fact, every movement causes friction. You will therefore often find the lint/pills on the sleeves and under the armpits.
With new clothes, there may also be some loose hairs left over after the weaving and knitting process.
Unfortunately, pilling and lint on your beautiful (merino) wool clothing cannot be prevented. We have some tips to delay this process somewhat and how to remove lint and pills. For this information, please refer to our blog.
