Stylish merino wool poncho / scarf
Sometimes you don't need a coat, but just want something warm to wrap around yourself. The Norlender Johanna is perfect for that; it's a poncho that easily converts into a large scarf or wrap with its detachable buttons. The poncho is made of soft merino wool and is knitted in a snowflake pattern. Wool regulates temperature, keeping you comfortable, both indoors and outdoors.
The poncho drapes beautifully and loosely along the body and moves smoothly with you, giving a stylish look. Wear the wool wrap over a blouse for a polished appearance, or over a sweater during a brisk walk. Or, of course, simply indoors as an extra layer on colder days.
Timeless, elegant, and wonderfully warm!
- Material: 100% soft merino wool
- Easily switch from poncho to scarf with a detachable pin
- Loose, feminine fit
- Warm and breathable
- Timeless, stylish and versatile
Always check the label in the garment for washing instructions. Always dry wool clothing flat. Wool is a great material for clothing because it is antibacterial and odor-resistant. Therefore, wool clothing does not need to be washed often. Hang the garment outside occasionally to freshen it up. If you do want to wash the garment, we recommend Texelana Wool Detergent. When hand washing, never rub hard to prevent felting.
Storing wool clothing
We advise you to store your wool clothing clean, possibly with a sachet of lavender; this keeps moths at bay. It is also best to store wool clothing flat, so that the elasticity of the wool is not affected.
Pilling and lint
Wool can pill or fuzz with use. This has nothing to do with the quality of the wool. Pilling is a natural phenomenon that mainly occurs due to friction. Wool consists of many hairs with a natural crimp (curls). Due to friction, the wool can pill and felt. During felting, the hairs join together due to friction. In fact, every movement causes friction. You often find the lint/pills on the sleeves and under the armpits.
With new clothes, there may also be some loose hairs left over after the weaving and knitting process.
Pilling and fuzz on your beautiful (merino) wool clothing are unfortunately unavoidable. We have some tips to somewhat delay this process and how to remove the fuzz and pills. For this information, please refer to our blog.
