Warm men's lamb's wool sweater

The Kilronan men’s jumper by Emerald Style is a stylish woollen jumper with a rugged look. The jumper is made from 100% soft lambswool. Wool has excellent natural properties: it breathes, keeps you warm and regulates moisture.
The stand-up collar with half-zip gives the jumper the look of a classic sailor’s jumper. Wear it with jeans for a casual look, or for a smart, smart-casual look over a shirt with chinos. Stylish, versatile and comfortable!

Care

Washing instructions:washable on a wool wash program, max. 30°C. Always check the label in the garment for washing instructions.

Wool is antibacterial and odor resistant. Woolen clothing therefore does not need to be washed often. Hang the garment outside occasionally to air it out and it will quickly freshen up again. If you do want to wash the garment, we recommend Texelana Wool Detergent.

Many of our wool garments can be machine washed on a wool wash program at a maximum of 30°C. Always check the label in the garment for washing instructions and always dry wool garments flat. When hand washing, never rub hard to prevent felting.

If you treat your wool garment as described above, it will not only stay looking better and last longer; you will also help the environment by airing it out instead of washing it.

Storing wool clothing

We recommend storing your wool clothing clean, possibly with a sachet of lavender; this keeps moths at bay. It is also best to store wool clothing flat so that the elasticity of the wool is not affected.

Pilling and fluff

Wool can pill or fluff with use. This has nothing to do with the quality of the wool. Pilling is a natural phenomenon that mainly occurs due to friction. Wool consists of many hairs with a natural crimp (curls). Due to friction, the wool can pill and felt. When felting, the hairs join together due to friction. In fact, every movement causes friction. You will therefore often find the fluff/pills on the sleeves and under the armpits.

With new clothing, some loose hairs may sometimes have remained after the weaving and knitting process.

Pilling and fluff on your beautiful (merino) wool clothing are unfortunately unavoidable. We have some tips to postpone this process somewhat and how to remove the fluff and pills. For this information, we would like to refer you to our blog.
