Sporty men's vest made of wool and TENCEL®
This men's vest is the perfect garment in between seasons or during cool summer evenings. A sporty vest with double-sided material, with TENCEL® closest to the body for a soft and cool feeling on the skin. The vest has a handy two-way zipper and the shoulder seam has been moved forward slightly to prevent chafing when wearing a backpack or shoulder bag.
- Material:
- 69% wool (bluesign certified)
- 30% Lyocell (TENCEL®)
- 1% Elastane (Lycra®) - TENCEL® on the inside feels soft on the skin and provides a cool and summery feeling
- Pockets: two zipped pockets
- Detail: Ivanhoe logo badge on upper left arm.
- Washing instructions: 30°C wool wash cycle. Always check the label inside the garment for washing instructions.
Wool blends with TENCEL® ensure even better moisture wicking and the fit of the garment is maintained for longer.
Washing instructions
Wool is a nice material to make clothes from because it is antibacterial and odor-resistant. Wool clothing therefore does not need to be washed often. Hang the garment outside occasionally so that it can freshen up. If you do want to wash the garment, we recommend Texelana Wool Detergent . Never rub hard when hand washing, to prevent felting. Always check the label in the garment for the washing instructions. Always let wool clothing dry flat.
If you treat your wool garment in this way, it will not only stay nicer and last longer, but by airing instead of washing, you also save the environment.
Storing woolen clothes
We recommend that you store your woolen clothing clean, possibly with a bag of lavender; this keeps the moths away. It is also best to store woolen clothing lying down, so that the elasticity of the wool is not affected.
Pills and fluff
Wool can pill or fluff through use. This has nothing to do with the quality of the wool. Pilling is a natural phenomenon that is mainly caused by friction. Wool consists of many hairs with a natural crimp (curls). Friction can cause the wool to pill and felt. With felting, the hairs join together through friction. In fact, every movement causes friction. You will often find the fluff/pills on the sleeves and under the armpits.
New clothing may sometimes still have some loose hairs left behind after the weaving and knitting process.
Pills and fluff on your beautiful (merino) wool clothing are unfortunately unavoidable. We have some tips to delay this process somewhat and how to remove the fluff and pills. For this information we refer to our blog.
About Ivanhoe of Sweden
The family business Ivanhoe was founded in 1946 in Gällstad, a district known as the knitting centre of Sweden, where tradition and entrepreneurial spirit still live on. Several generations of experience and competence result in the continuous development of basic and functional clothing. Classic materials such as wool and cotton are always found in the collections, but they also work with new blends, treatments or knitting and weaving techniques.
