Stijlvol Iers vest met sjaalkraag

Dit mooie wollen vest is gebreid in traditionele Ierse breipatronen. Voorzien van twee steekzakken en ribgebreide boorden en manchetten. Het vest is voorzien van een sjaalkraag, welke zowel omhoog als dubbel gedragen kan worden. Een stijlvolle en stoere aanvulling op uw garderobe!

Maintenance

Wasinstructie

Wol is een fijn materiaal om kleding van te maken omdat het antibacterieel en geurbestendig is. Wollen kleding hoeft daarom niet vaak gewassen te worden. Hang het kledingstuk af en toe buiten zodat het kan opfrissen. Wilt u het kledingstuk toch wassen, dan adviseren wij het Texelana Wolwasmiddel. Wrijf bij handwas nooit hard, om vilten te voorkomen. Kijk voor de wasinstructie altijd op het label in het kledingstuk. Laat wollen kleding altijd liggend drogen.

Als u uw wollen kledingstuk op deze manier behandelt, zal het niet alleen mooier blijven en langer meegaan. Door te luchten in plaats van te wassen spaart u ook het milieu.

Pillen en pluisjes

Wol kan door gebruik gaan pillen of pluizen. Dit heeft niets te maken met de kwaliteit van de wol. Pillen is een natuurlijk verschijnsel dat vooral ontstaat door wrijving. Wol bestaat uit vele haartjes met een natuurlijke kroezing (krullen). Door wrijving kan de wol gaan pillen en vervilten. Bij vervilten voegen de haartjes zich samen door de wrijving. In feite veroorzaakt elke beweging wrijving. U vindt de pluisjes/pillen dan ook vaak aan de mouwen en onder de oksels.

Bij nieuwe kleding kunnen er soms ook nog wat losse haartjes zijn achtergebleven na het weef- en breiproces.

Pillen en pluizen op uw mooie (merino)wollen kleding zijn helaas dus niet te voorkomen. We hebben wat tips om dit proces enigszins uit te stellen en hoe u de pluizen en pillen kunt verwijderen. Voor deze informatie verwijzen we u naar onze blog.

Wollen kleding opbergen

Wij raden u aan om uw wollen kleding schoon op te bergen, eventueel met een zakje lavendel; dit houdt de motten op afstand. Ook kunt u wollen kleding het beste liggend bewaren, zodat de elasticiteit van de wol niet wordt aangetast.

Washing instructions

Wool is a great material for making clothes because it is antibacterial and odor resistant. Woolen clothing therefore does not need to be washed often. Hang the garment outside occasionally to freshen it up. If you still want to wash the garment, we recommend Texelana Wool Detergent . Never rub hard when washing by hand to prevent felting. Always look at the label in the garment for washing instructions. Always let woolen clothing lie flat to dry.

Treating your woolen garment in this way will not only make it more beautiful and last longer. By airing instead of washing you also protect the environment.

Pills and fluff

Wool can pill or pill due to use. This has nothing to do with the quality of the wool. Pilling is a natural phenomenon that is mainly caused by friction. Wool consists of many hairs with a natural frizz (curl). Friction can cause the wool to pill and felt. When felting, the hairs join together due to friction. In fact, every movement causes friction. You will often find the lint/pills on the sleeves and under the armpits.

New clothing may sometimes have some loose hairs left behind after the weaving and knitting process.

Unfortunately, pills and lint on your beautiful (merino) woolen clothing cannot be prevented. We have some tips on how to delay this process somewhat and how to remove the lint and pills. For this information we refer you to our blog.

Store woolen clothes

We recommend that you store your woolen clothing clean, possibly with a bag of lavender; this keeps the moths at bay. It is also best to store woolen clothing lying down, so that the elasticity of the wool is not affected.
