Four seasons duvet Texelana Excellent, extra divisible
Do you get cold easily, while your sleeping partner is nice and warm? Then an extra split four-season duvet offers a great solution! Both parts can be separated, allowing you both to choose the thickness of your duvet. This way, you, or your partner, can choose the warmth that suits the season and your personal preferences. Perfect for couples where one person gets cold easily, while the other prefers a light sleep.
With an all-season duvet, you'll sleep soundly under the covers all year round. The two separate sections create a light, airy feel in summer and cozy warmth during the cold winter months. Zip them together or unzip them to create the ideal sleeping environment for your needs, whatever the season. The luxurious percale cover feels soft and supple, like a second skin.
Customised sleeping comfort, all year round.
- Filled with 100% gently cleaned sheep's wool
- Tick made of 100% percale cotton
- Heat class 2, 3 and 4
(two parts with heat class 3 + 4 connected = heat class 2) - Connection by means of a zipper
- Special feature : Both the summer and spring/autumn sections can be split down the middle, allowing one sleeper to sleep under a double duvet and the other under a single duvet.
NB . - The size of the duvet may differ slightly from the size indicated.

Material
The Texelana Excellent duvet is filled with 100% wool. The summer duvet is filled with approximately 225 g/m² of sheep's wool, and the spring/autumn duvet is filled with approximately 450 g/m² of sheep's wool. These can be used together or separately thanks to a zipper. Thanks to the natural moisture-regulating and breathable properties, you'll enjoy pleasant sleeping comfort while optimally regulating heat. The cover is made of percale cotton. Percale is woven with a higher thread count. This makes the fabric feel softer and more supple, and it retains its beauty longer.
Different versions
Texelana offers four different styles of wool-filled duvets. The difference lies in the quality of the ticking; this ranges from standard cotton to sateen cotton. Only the Exquisiet duvet has a different filling; this type is filled with a summer duvet made of a blend of wool and wild silk.
- The Texelana Standard duvet has a 100% cotton cover. This duvet is available in a four-season version.
- The Texelana Excellent duvet features a percale cotton cover. Percale is woven with a higher thread count, making the fabric softer and more supple. The higher weave density also helps the fabric retain its beauty longer. This duvet is available as a four-season duvet, but also as a separate summer, spring/autumn, or winter duvet.
- The Texelana Exquisiet duvet has a cotton sateen cover. This is often confused with polyester sateen, the shiny, smooth fabric. However, sateen doesn't refer to the material itself, but rather to the weaving method. Cotton sateen is 100% natural cotton and therefore shares the fine qualities of cotton: it breathes and absorbs moisture. However, cotton sateen feels softer and smoother than regular or percale cotton, thanks to the special "satin weave." In this process, the cotton is woven much more densely, using more threads. More threads per square inch means higher quality and a smoother fabric. The sateen weave also gives the fabric a slight sheen. So, cotton sateen not only feels luxurious, it also looks luxurious! This duvet is available as a four-season duvet.
- The Waddenparel duvet has a 100% cotton cover. This duvet is available in a four-season version.
The quality of sheep's wool is the same in all types of duvets.
The extra divisible four-season duvet is available in Standard and Excellent versions.
Heat class
There are four warmth classes. The lower the number, the warmer the duvet. The Texelana Excellent four-season duvet falls into warmth class 2 (3+4) .
- Class 4 is the thinnest, least warm and most suitable as a summer duvet.
- Class 3 is medium warm and best suited for the spring and autumn months.
- Class 2 is warm and is most commonly used in winter.
- Class 1 is the warmest class, and includes the thickest and warmest duvets. Texelana does not offer duvets in warmth class 1.
Maintenance
Wool has the wonderful property of being self-cleaning. Lanolin (wool fat) makes wool dirt-repellent and antibacterial. It's important to air the duvet well. This means turning down the bed in the morning so the wool can breathe and absorb moisture can escape.
You can also hang the duvet outside occasionally. This will help the wool retain its frizzy texture and resilience. Never air the duvet in direct sunlight, as the wool wax will dry out faster.
You can remove any stains with a cloth and lukewarm soapy water. Wool duvets cannot be washed. If you really want to have your duvet cleaned, you can take it to the dry cleaners. However, if you follow the care tips above, this isn't necessary.
Origin
Since Texelana does not have production capacity on Texel, all our duvets and underblankets are made elsewhere in the Netherlands.
