Women's vest with detachable hood

This women's cardigan from The 100% wool is a real eye-catcher thanks to the refined honeycomb pattern on the body and hood. The sleeves and back are straight-knit for a stylish contrast. The soft fleece lining makes the cardigan wonderfully warm and comfortable. It features a handy two-way zipper (opens at the top and bottom), zippered side pockets, and a detachable hood with drawstrings. Perfect for chilly days or as a comfortable outdoor jacket!

Specifications & material

  • Exterior: 100% wool
  • Inside: fleece lining (polyester)
  • Detachable hood (with zipper) with drawstrings
  • Inner pocket with zipper
  • Side pockets with zipper

Maintenance

Washing instructions: Hand wash only; always check the garment label for washing instructions.

Wool is a great material for clothing because it's antibacterial and odor-resistant. Therefore, wool clothing doesn't need to be washed often. Hang the garment outside occasionally to freshen it up. If you do want to wash the garment, we recommend Texelana Wool Detergent When hand-washing, never rub vigorously to prevent felting. Always check the garment's care label for washing instructions. Always dry woolen clothing flat.

Treating your wool garment this way will not only keep it looking better and make it last longer, but by airing it out instead of washing it, you'll also help the environment.

Storing woolen clothes

We recommend storing your woolen clothing clean, perhaps with a lavender bag; this will keep moths at bay. It's also best to store woolen clothing flat to prevent damage to the wool's elasticity.

About Planet Wool

Planet Wool originated from a Dutch initiative in 2015, following the earthquakes in Nepal. For every product sold, one euro is donated to a charity in Nepal, the Nepal Foundation. Through them, we donate to various charities. Since 2015, Planet Wool has donated approximately €100,000 to charities.

Planet Wool products are handmade in Nepal under good working conditions. The wool is sourced from smallholder farmers in New Zealand.
