- Material: sheep's wool knitted into a tricot (polyester) base. Irish sheep's wool is used for these slippers.
- Finished with a soft felt sole. As with socks, the lifespan of these slippers partly depends on the type of floor they are worn on. For example, the sole will wear more quickly on a rough tiled floor than on a soft carpeted surface.
Good to know about wolborg and the felt sole
These slippers are made from wolborg: soft sheep's wool knitted into a tricot base. This makes them wonderfully warm, lightweight and comfortable. The comfort is comparable to that of a thick, warm sock.
However, both the wolborg and the felt sole are soft materials. Daily wear and friction will gradually cause the wool fibres and sole to wear over time. How quickly this happens depends largely on how the slippers are used and the type of flooring. On a rough tiled floor, the sole will wear faster than on a soft carpeted floor.
Use
These Yoko Siberians are perfect for relaxing on the sofa and feel much like a pair of thick, warm socks. Looking for slippers to wear all day long? In that case, we recommend our sheepskin or wool felt slippers with a sturdy rubber sole.
Comfortable all year round
Slippers made from natural materials such as sheep's wool can be worn throughout the year, thanks to the many beneficial properties of wool. Sheep wool is breathable and moisture regulating, and can absorb up to 30% of its own weight in moisture without feeling wet or clammy.
You can wear these wool slippers comfortably with bare feet.
