This wool is the result of a complex selection of naturally available shades, which are blended to create a range of natural colors without the use of dyes, chemicals, or water. This authentic product is 100% natural and environmentally friendly.

Washing instructions

Wool is a great material for clothing because it is antibacterial and odor-resistant. Therefore, wool clothing does not need to be washed often. Hang the garment outside occasionally to freshen it up. If you do want to wash the garment, we recommend Texelana Wool Detergent. When handwashing, never rub hard to prevent felting. Always check the label in the garment for washing instructions. Always dry wool clothing flat.

If you treat your wool clothing this way, it will not only stay beautiful longer but also last longer. By airing instead of washing, you also help the environment.

Storing wool clothing 

We recommend storing your wool clothing clean, possibly with a sachet of lavender; this will keep moths away. It is also best to store wool clothing flat to prevent the elasticity of the wool from being affected.

Pilling and lint

Wool can pill or lint with use. This has nothing to do with the quality of the wool. Pilling is a natural phenomenon that mainly occurs due to friction. Wool consists of many hairs with a natural crimp (curls). Due to friction, the wool can pill and felt. When felting, the hairs join together due to friction. In fact, every movement causes friction. You will therefore often find the lint/pills on the sleeves and under the armpits.

With new clothing, some loose hairs may sometimes have remained after the weaving and knitting process.

Unfortunately, pilling and lint on your beautiful (merino) wool clothing cannot be prevented. We have some tips to somewhat delay this process and how to remove lint and pills. For this information, we refer to our blog.
