Description

Glerups wool felt boot slipper with leather sole

This Glerups low boot is handmade and made of 100% wool felt, has a leather sole and a sturdy felt footbed. The shape of the shoe follows the contours of the foot, so that the shoe stays in place. Natural materials, high-quality workmanship and a minimalist design make this felt shoe unique.

Wool felt keeps the feet warm and regulates the foot climate. To optimally feel the natural properties of wool on your skin, we recommend wearing wool felt shoes or slippers with bare feet.

The leather sole is suitable for indoor use. Are you looking for slippers with which you can also go outside for a while? Then we advise you to choose slippers with a rubber sole.

Care

How to clean and care for your Glerups

  1. Because wool is naturally self-cleaning, your Glerups will stay fresh if you simply allow them to air out and give them some rest between wears.
  2. To remove stains, we recommend gently dabbing the affected area with a slightly damp cloth and wool detergent. You may need to repeat this process a few times, but always allow the slippers to dry completely before treating the stain again.
  3. Dust can be removed by vacuuming or blowing out your Glerups. Leather soles can be brushed and cleaned with a leather brush.
  4. Rubber soles can be wiped clean with a damp cloth. Make sure they are allowed to dry thoroughly after cleaning.
  5. Please take care: natural rubber or leather soles can be slippery on wet and icy surfaces, such as tiles.
  6. All Glerups uppers are made from 100% pure and natural wool. As a result, slight colour variations may occur between different production batches.
  7. During the first 3–4 weeks of wear, your Glerups may shed some wool or loose fibres. This is completely normal due to the natural processing of the wool and helps ensure long-lasting comfort for years to come. Simply remove and dispose of any loose fibres as needed.

Glerups: a pure product

Naturally. Nice. Hot. That is Glerups from Denmark, a Scandinavian company that makes slippers and indoor shoes from wool felt. The company only buys sheep's wool from specially selected New Zealand sheep farmers with relatively small sheep herds. During production, the wool is not treated chemically, but naturally and gently - from the raw material to the final product. The sheep are sheared twice a year. The wool is washed in soft water and carded (combed) after drying. The carded wool is then felted into the desired shape in warm soapy water.

Glerups products are very popular in Scandinavia and are now conquering the rest of Europe. Anyone who has ever worn them won't want any other slippers!
