Sizing advice

By comparing the measurements in the table with your own clothing, you can choose the right size. The measurements are approximate and measured in centimeters.

Care

Washing instructions: handwash. Always check the garment's care label for washing instructions. Read more here washing woolen clothes.

Wool is a great material for clothing because it's antibacterial and odor-resistant. Therefore, wool clothing doesn't need to be washed often. Hang the garment outside occasionally to freshen it up. If you do want to wash the garment, we recommend Texelana Wool Detergent When hand-washing, never rub vigorously to prevent felting. Always check the garment's care label for washing instructions. Always dry woolen clothing flat.

Treating your wool garment this way will not only keep it looking better and make it last longer, but by airing it out instead of washing it, you'll also help the environment.

Storing woolen clothes

We recommend storing your woolen clothing clean, perhaps with a lavender bag; this will keep moths at bay. It's also best to store woolen clothing flat to prevent damage to the wool's elasticity.

Pills and fluff

Wool can pill or fluff with use. This has nothing to do with the quality of the wool. Pilling is a natural phenomenon that is mainly caused by friction. Wool consists of many hairs with a natural crimp (curl). Friction can cause the wool to pill and felt. Felting occurs when the hairs are bunched together by friction. In fact, every movement causes friction. You often find fluff/pilling on the sleeves and under the armpits.

New clothes may sometimes still have some loose hairs left behind after the weaving and knitting process.

Unfortunately, pilling and fluff on your beautiful (merino) wool clothing is unavoidable. We have some tips to help you delay this process and how to remove the fluff and pilling. For this information, please refer to ourblog.e

We recommend storing your wool clothing clean, possibly with a sachet of lavender; this keeps moths away. It's also best to store wool clothing flat, so that the elasticity of the wool is not affected.
