Cool hat made of merino wool
Wool hat from Aran Woollen Mills, knitted in a stylish cable knit. Merino wool is ideal for its natural properties: breathable, moisture-wicking, and wonderfully soft against the skin. The ribbed cuffs ensure a comfortable, snug fit. Stylish, rugged, and wonderfully warm!
Traditional Irish knitting
This style is inspired by the authentic Aran patterns from Ireland. The characteristic cable knit is not only decorative but also gives the hat extra volume and insulation.
Aran Woollen Mills produces in Ireland with respect for tradition and materials. You don't buy a hat like this for just one season, but for years of winter comfort.
- Material: 100% supersoft merino wool
- Size: one size

Maintenance
Wool is a great material for clothing because it's antibacterial and odor-resistant. Therefore, wool clothing doesn't need to be washed often. Hang it outside occasionally to freshen it up. If you do want to wash it, we recommend Texelana Wool Detergent . When hand-washing, never rub vigorously to prevent felting. Always check the garment's care label for washing instructions. Always dry wool clothing flat.
Treating your wool garment this way will not only keep it looking better and make it last longer, but by airing it out instead of washing it, you'll also help the environment.
Pills and fluff
Wool can pill or fluff with use. This has nothing to do with the quality of the wool. Pilling is a natural phenomenon that is mainly caused by friction. Wool consists of many hairs with a natural crimp (curl). Friction can cause the wool to pill and felt. Felting occurs when the hairs are bunched together by friction. In fact, every movement causes friction. You often find fluff/pilling on the sleeves and under the armpits.
New clothes may sometimes still have some loose hairs left behind after the weaving and knitting process.
Unfortunately, pilling and fluff on your beautiful (merino) wool clothing is unavoidable. We have some tips to help you delay this process and remove the pills. For more information, please refer to our blog.
