Spanish slippers of Texelana with Wolborg lining

The Texelaar is a Spanish slipper that falls wonderfully supple around the foot. The outside is made of supple cowhide with a lining of wolborg on the inside. These slippers are easy to put on and are wonderfully warm.

• Size advice: this model is still a bit wider. We therefore recommend keeping the usual shoe size.

• Sole: a split sole made of soft cow leather.
  

The color may differ slightly from the color in the photo. Some specimens tend slightly more towards the color cognac.

What is wolborg?

Wolborg is made of wool, woven into tricot. This creates a material that is strong, soft and warm.

Slippers made of woolborg are cheaper, but also more susceptible to wear than slippers made of sheepskin. Friction (particularly under the foot) can loosen the wool hairs, which can cause wear marks. This process occurs at varying speeds, but in some cases can occur within a few months.

Size advice

When you order the Spanish slippers, it is important to choose the right size. Wearing the right size is important for two reasons:

1. Creating an air layer. This layer between your skin and the wool makes it possible to wick away moisture and retain heat. This keeps your feet pleasantly warm and dry.

2. Lifespan. Spanish slippers with wool (wolborg) are more susceptible to wear than sheepskin slippers. Friction (particularly under the foot) can loosen the wool hairs, which can cause wear marks. If the size is too small, there is a chance of faster wear.

To enjoy wearing them for as long as possible, we recommend ordering your regular shoe size . This model is a bit bigger. Do you have a half shoe size? Then round this up and then follow the size advice. Example: you have shoe size 38.5. Round this
down to top = size 39. Follow the size advice +0, you order the slipper in size 39.

Additional note: Spanish slippers with a wool lining are warmer, but more susceptible to wear than cheaper Spanish slippers with a synthetic lining!
