Maintenance
Wool is antibacterial and odour-resistant. Wool clothing and plaids therefore do not need to be washed often. Hang the item outside to air occasionally and it will quickly freshen up again. If you do want to wash the item, we recommend Texelana Wool Detergent. Always check the label in the garment for washing instructions and always let wool clothing dry flat. Never rub hard when washing by hand, to prevent felting.
If you treat your wool blanket as described above, it will not only stay beautiful and last longer; you will also save the environment by airing it instead of washing it.
NLS - New level of sustainability
Ivanhoe of Sweden is proud to present this new line of products in a completely natural, undyed wool quality. This wool is the result of a complex selection of naturally available shades, which are mixed to create a range of natural colours without the use of dyes, chemicals or water. This authentic product is 100% natural and environmentally friendly.
Storing a woolen blanket
We recommend that you store your wool blanket clean, possibly with a bag of lavender; this will keep moths at bay.
About Ivanhoe of Sweden
The family business Ivanhoe was founded in 1946 in Gällstad, a district known as the knitting centre of Sweden, where tradition and entrepreneurial spirit still live on. Several generations of experience and competence result in the continuous development of basic and functional clothing. Classic materials such as wool and cotton are always found in the collections, but they also work with new blends, treatments or knitting and weaving techniques.
